The Anniversary by Bill MacIlwraith
directed by Ian Parkes
Filled with stinging humour and delicious verbal swordplay, MacIlwraith's play explores family dynamics where the Matriarch rules the roost. It's Mum's Ruby Wedding anniversary (Dad has been dead for years) but not quite the celebration she imagined. Terry wants to emigrate, Tom wants to get married and will cross-dressing Henry try to cut the apron strings too? One thing's for sure, Mum won't let them go without a fight.
